Accessibility
We aim for every SmartDeskVerse page to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, in both the light and dark themes.
What we do
- Every control can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Text and controls meet the contrast levels of WCAG 2.2 AA in both themes; the Clock also has a high-contrast option.
- Pages work at 320 pixels wide and when text is enlarged to 200%.
- Moving content stops when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Clocks don't read every second aloud to screen readers. Use the “Read the time” button to hear the current time; completed timers and alarms are announced once.
- Status is never shown by colour alone: it is also written.
Keyboard shortcuts on the Clock
Shortcuts work only when you are not typing in a box: Space starts or pauses the stopwatch on its tab, L records a lap, Esc closes a dialog or leaves full screen.
