Who we are
SmartDeskVerse (https://smartdeskverse.com) is a website of free one-page desk tools operated by TalosWorks Inc., a Canadian corporation. For any privacy question, request or complaint, email [email protected]. The person in charge of personal information at TalosWorks Inc. can be reached at the same address.
What you type stays in your browser
Our tools work inside your browser. Timer names, alarm labels, world-clock cities, event names, lap times and everything else you enter are processed on your own device and are not sent to us or to anyone else.
What a tool saves on your device
So that your settings and running timers survive a page reload, tools save them in your browser's local storage on this device. For the Clock this means your display settings (theme, 12- or 24-hour time, display style), your world-clock cities, timers, the stopwatch, alarms, focus settings and saved events. This information:
- is never sent to us or anyone else, and doesn't move to your other devices;
- can be erased with the tool's Clear saved data button, which first lists what it will erase;
- is erased when you clear this site's data in your browser settings.
In a private window, or if your browser blocks storage, nothing is saved and the tools still work for the visit.
A tool may offer a Share link (for example, for an event countdown). That link contains only what the tool shows you before you copy it, and is made only when you press the button.
Permissions
We never ask for a permission when a page opens. If you choose a feature that needs one, your browser asks you first: notifications for alarms and timers, keeping the screen awake for a desk display, or full screen. Sound plays only after you press a button. You can withdraw any permission in your browser's site settings.
What our hosting provider sees
The site is served by Cloudflare. As with any website, when your browser connects, Cloudflare receives technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, and may keep it briefly in logs for security and to keep the service running. We don't use this information to identify you.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
SmartDeskVerse sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising scripts today. If we add analytics or advertising later, we will update this policy first, ask for your consent where the law requires it, and never send what you type into a tool (timer names, notes, events or cities) to any analytics or advertising service.
If you email us, we receive what you send, including your email address, and use it only to reply to you.
Children
The site is suitable for students and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because the tools don't send what you type to us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, privacy laws (including Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, Quebec's Law 25 and the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation) may give you rights to access, correct or delete personal information. Since your entries stay on your device, you control them directly. For anything we hold, such as an email you sent us, write to [email protected].

We will update this page when anything changes and show the new date at the top.
